Detailed information on Takarazukushi Porous Ceramic 220 Flattening Stone

This is a full benchstone sized very aggressive 220 grit ceramic flattening stone with a porous composition. Great for flattening stones from coarse to fine grit it does not leave excessively deep scratches, it is ideal for stubborn hard stones, and even works well on natural stones.

Most fine stones (3000 grit plus) should be smoothed over with a nagura after using this stone. Soak flattener and stone to be flattened before use.

This flattener is used in our shop for flattening stones under 400 grit as those extra coarse stones can damage diamond flatteners by wearing off the nickel plating holding the diamonds.
