HOT ! Indian Nagaland Stool

Sourced from the Nagaland region of India, these are traditional Indian low wooden stools, commonly known as patla or chowki.

They were used throughout Indian households for a variety of everyday purposes, including:

Sitting close to the floor for meals or social gatherings, Religious ceremonies and prayer rituals, Supporting kitchen tasks such as food preparation

The metal banding or stud details were both decorative and functional, helping to reinforce the timber and prevent splitting in humid or fluctuating climates.
