Ryukyu glass is a popular souvenir from Okinawa. It\'s a glass bead with a hole made using a molding technique called burner work.

Craftsmen melt colored glass one by one and roll it onto an iron core. The molten glass, like starch syrup, is then layered with silver foil, creating beautiful colors.

It is a phosphorescent type, so the luminous stone inside glows when it gets dark.

Ryukyu glass beads are carefully crafted one by one by craftsmen, and their charm lies in their sparkling, jewel-like sparkle.
