For your consideration, this lovely antique 14K gold Victorian, Art Nouveau faux tortoise shell pearl, floral & ivy motif hair comb. This comb was masterfully created, the 14k gold ivy and floral scroll work is adorned with 61 seed pearls and is stunning. This comb was made from celluloid (plastic) which was a popular way to create these combs after the mid 1800\'s.

The 14k gold scroll work is in very good overall condition, missing one seed pearl, and a broken rivet on the backside of comb, however the gold work is still very secure. (Please see magnified photos) Gold content was tested with a Niton DXL spectral XRF precious metal analyzer.
