Aroma: Very dark caramel colour brew, rich smell, herbs and earthiness, smells of ginseng, straw, earthiness, herbs. The vintage of this tea comes out in the rich aroma.
Tasting Notes: More astringent, good chi, mineral notes, heavy and thick with a very smooth mouthfeel. Typical Yiwu character, orchids, roses and floral notes come out in 3rd brew. 4th brew, tea gets a lot smoother with brothy/umami flavours.
Tea liquor remains very dark but brightens up during this brew. High durability in the tea leaves. 5th Brew is woodsy, toasted wood flavours are appearing along with cedar, pine and moss. Sweet perfumy notes finish up this tea.
This tea starts out with a sharp astringency bringing out mineral notes, with a heavy and thick texture. The age of this tea comes out after a few brews with layers of sweet floral notes of orchids and roses which are very common in Yiwu teas.
The tea liquor remains very dark in later brews showing the durability of this tea. Later brews bring out woodsy, toasted wood along with cedar, pine and moss. Sweet perfumy notes finish up this tea. With a wide range of flavours, this tea is a great way to explore aged Yiwu teas.
