Detailed information on 60s 70s Square Shaped Plastic Frames with Prescription Lenses That Can Be Removed Brown Tortoiseshell Style Eyewear
I have a huge box of old frames and frame parts, labeled \"lenscraft\" ( hahaha!) and every now and then I will look through, and find something previously passed over, and this is one of those pairs of glasses that may be interesting to someone. I took out my loop, and was surprised to read on the end of one arm that is a bit chewed , that it reads \"Frames Japan\". So this helps me date these to perhaps the late 60\'s? The square shape does make me think a bit of Carnaby Street, and I imagine , even though imports from Japan were fewer at that time, I think there would still be some coming in. Can be Unisex, so I am showing on both heads. I especially like the unique bridge design, which is a silver tone. Only minor abrasion on the end of one arm, where the JAPAN is written. Other arm is smooth. Prescription lenses are scratched, so you definitely will want to replace them with yours. Frame arms need tightening and adjusting, so any optometrist can help you adjust to your head. Comes with modern case. Lens opening is roughly 2 \" high and 2. 5\" across. Arms are 5\" long. Priced on design, rarity and condition.
