The Lawn Party print is our interpretation of the pattern worn by Scarlet O\'Hara when she attends the party at Twelve Oaks in Margaret Mitchell\'s controversial novel \'Gone with the Wind\'. Twelve Oaks is described as \'\'a beautiful white-columned house that crowned the hill like a Greek Temple\'\', and it is there that O\'Hara pledges her fickle love to Ashley Wilkes, and has a tantrum upon learning that he is already betrothed to Melanie.
