The medieval Ogham alphabet dates back to the 4th century and is the earliest form of writing to be found in Ireland. The linear strokes of each character lend themselves well to contemporary jewelry design. The Ogham alphabet can still be seen on the famous manuscript, \'The Book of Kells, and on standing stones scattered around the rugged Irish landscape.
