Arranged in orderly vertical rows, the repeated guls\' octagonal emblems with intricate internal geometry are rendered in shades of ivory, terracotta, and walnut brown, embodying the traditional tribal symbolism of the Turkmen weavers.

The field is framed by a dense and elaborate series of borders, including a primary border filled with a rosette and hooked motif chain, and multiple guard stripes that echo stylised forms reminiscent of vines or running water. These layered frames add depth and structure to the rug.
