It\'s made of solid pine (no veneers), and retains its original white paint.

The headboard has a unique design with rail slots for both queen and full sized beds. Notice the cool little cannonball-shaped posts on the ends!Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the pieces and found no repairs to make, nor anything to reinforce. It just has nicks, light scratches--common wear for old used furniture. This headboard is strong, sturdy, and ready for a lifetime of service!
