An antique scatter rug, from the early 1900s…woven high up in the rugged Caucasus mountains where nomadic tribes carried their world in saddlebags and wove their stories into wool. It’s got an espresso ground that sets off all the wild, tribal art scattered across it like living folklore.

Vegetable-dyed wool, low pile, some honest wear, secured ends and sides, it’s all part of its old-soul swagger. The motifs are sprawled across the body of the rug in it’s own rhythm, bold and unrestrained, the kind of art you only get when life itself is the loom. Look closely and you’ll see animal elements too  

It’s bold and beautiful with natural dyes, ready for the floor or the wall. A true nomadic messenger from the Caucasus, still shouting a century later.
