HOT ! Eero Saarinen Tulip Table - Round Coffee 24 Inch

Eero Saarinen’s Tables were introduced to the world in 1958.  After 4 years of design, this radical solution to ridding interiors of the “slum of legs” was met with great fanfare.  The tulip tables were just part of the “Pedestal Series” from Eero Saarinen.  The collection included a side chair, an armchair, a stool, four dining height tables, three side tables, and three coffee tables.  Each was constructed with a cast aluminum base and used white marble, walnut veneer, or white plastic tops.   Over the years, Eero Saarinen experimented with various sizes, tops, and forms of furniture, all based on the tulip design.  A lounge chair, ashtray, and glass tops were among the new forms that he created based on the Pedestal Series. 

This Saarinen Table is constructed in Italy using the same materials that Saarinen used.  It is a carefully detailed reproduction of the Pedestal Series.  Cast aluminum bases are coated with a durable epoxy finish, ensuring a scratch-resistant base.  Saarinen Tulip Tabletops are meticulously crafted from the finest marble available.  Saarinen table marbles are hand-picked from quarries on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring that you receive the highest quality marble available.  Marbles and travertine tops go through an intensive three-day process of either sealing or waxing.  This Saarinen Table has a lacquered cast aluminum base available in white, black, or silver.
