HOT ! Garden Quartz Necklace

This necklace was designed and handmade in our home studio just outside of Seattle, WA. Each necklace starts with a high quality gemstone to which a bail is added. A copper bezel is then electroformed around the stone to create a durable bond between metal and stone elements. The entire piece is then sent out to be further plated in rose gold at a thickness ten times the industry standard. This results in an heirloom quality piece that can be enjoyed for years to come with proper care.

Garden quartz, also known as scenic quartz or lodolite quartz, is a type of quartz crystal that has inclusions of other minerals that create a scenic or garden-like effect within the crystal.  The crystal is then cut and polished to magnify this effect.  This particular stone also contains a hematite inclusion.

The formation of garden quartz is believed to occur when the crystal is growing, and mineral-rich fluids seep into the spaces between the crystal structures. These fluids deposit minerals, creating unique and beautiful inclusions within the crystal. The inclusions can take on various shapes, resembling branches, flowers, and landscapes.
