Eugenio Gerli for Tecno, dining chairs, model \'S83, moulded plywood, lacquered wood, aluminum, Italy, design and production 1962 Dining chairs model S83, designed by Eugenio Gerli for Tecno in 1962. The backrest and seat are organically shaped, executed in moulded plywood, and further supported by finely carved tapered feet with a polished black finish. The chairs are stackable. Tecno was founded in 1953 by Osvaldo and Fulgenzio Borsani. The core idea upon which the company was born is the concept of dwellings that function as the foundation on which the quality of life is built. Although Tecno was led by functionalism, aesthetics has never been unimportant. The office world experience had an extreme growth in postwar Italy, and it was mainly to this world that Tecno dedicated their innovative design and craftsmanship.Please note that the chairs are in used condition with signs of age and use.
