Vtg Japanese Traditional Kokeshi Doll 

This is a vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine. Kokeshi are simple wooden Japanese dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for more than 150 years as a toy for children. This classic kokeshi doll is brushed with a clear lacquer and painted with a kimono that features red flower designs and black kanji writing on the back side. The face is simple with black lines and brush strokes for hair.
