Wonderful vintage Hawaiian puka shell choker necklace. The necklace has 100% natural puka shells that are rustic and average 6.3 mm in diameter. It is on nylon and has original gold tone barrel clasp.
These shells have natural holes, great wear from the ocean and sand and are various colors from bleached white from the sun to a natural tan color. Very rustic look. They have not been polished and have an eggshell surface.
The nylon is a little bent from being coiled up in a jewelry box. It will be hanging up as is waits for a new home. Hanging for a while usually fixes it, but know hat you might want to restring it.
Necklace is 16 1/2\" long. Weight: 26.3 grams. Fine, collectible and valuable necklace.
