Designer Jamie Lim grew up in South East Asia, surrounded by the batik kaftans worn by her mother, and handmade rattan dining chairs. As she witnessed these artisanal goods be replaced by mass produced synthetics, Jamie created Kayu as a means to offer timeless personal and home accessories, made with the finest natural materials, and preserve indigenous craft. The Eleni Vegetable Tanned Leather Sandal in Gold Crystal is embellished with crystals for a touch of easy glamour. Each pair is made out of top grain vegetable tanned leather that is natural and chemical free, and meticulously handcrafted by a family owned workshop in Greece using traditional techniques.
