Detailed information on Bamboo Aged 2023 Shan Tuyet Black Vietnamese Tea

There\'s something magical about tea that\'s been given time to mature, and our 2023 Shan Tuyet is proof of that patience paying off. Sourced from the remote mountains of Ha Giang Province in northern Vietnam, this isn\'t your everyday black tea.

The leaves themselves tell a story - large, twisted, and covered in those telltale silvery buds that give Shan Tuyet (Snow Tea) its name. These come from ancient tea trees, some over 300 years old, growing wild on steep mountain slopes where the morning mist clings like a blanket.

What makes this batch special is the aging. After careful processing in 2023, we\'ve let this tea rest and develop, allowing the flavors to mellow and deepen. The result? A cup that\'s remarkably smooth with layers of complexity you won\'t find in fresh teas. Think dark molasses sweetness, hints of dried fruit, and an underlying earthiness that speaks to its mountain origins.

The local farmers in Ha Giang still pick these leaves by hand during the early morning hours, just as their grandparents did. It\'s hard work on those steep slopes, but it\'s the only way to preserve the delicate tips that make this tea so distinctive.

Brew it strong if you want the full experience - this tea can handle it without turning bitter. We\'ve found it pairs beautifully with a quiet morning or as an afternoon pick-me-up when you need something with real substance.

Limited quantity available - once it\'s gone, you\'ll have to wait for the next harvest to age.
