Bouquet: An intense floral aroma reminiscent of hyacinth, followed by delicate notes of lychee and buttery pastry. The finish is remarkable, with a persistent and refined sweetness.

Properties: This tea is renowned for the finesse of its leaves and its traditional production method, which give it a natural richness in aromatic compounds. Lightly oxidized, Tie Guan Yin is distinguished by its vegetal and floral freshness, and by a complexity that evokes both green teas and more mature teas. It is often appreciated for its lightness, ideal for warm days or in spring.

Dosage: One 8-gram tea bag is enough to make about ten infusions, even for several people. As with any high-quality tea, the aromatic richness will depend on the infusion time. To preserve the subtlety of the initial notes, favor short infusions for the first few infusions.

Preparation: Preferably use low-mineral water, such as filtered or spring water, to maintain the purity of the tea. Heat the water to 100°C then pour it directly onto the leaves:

Tea should not be steeped for long; it is best to let it infuse briefly to bring out its delicate and evolving aromas.

Taste: A fine and floral aromatic palette: wild lily, hyacinth, jasmine, combined with nuances of buttery biscuit and light mineral and roasted touches.

Tone: Its liquor is luminous, very pale green and crystalline.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and strong odors. To best preserve its freshness, it is possible to store it in the freezer, as is the practice in China. Best consumed within one year of opening.
