In May 2024, the BESTLEAFTEA team embarked on an unforgettable journey to the ancient tea mountains of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. Our visit to the ancient tea gardens was not just to seek out tea but to experience the soul of the tea leaves nestled in the deep mountains. Despite the wind and rain on that day, we traversed rugged mountain roads and crossed babbling streams to find the ancient tea trees hidden in the mountains. These tea trees stood silently in the embrace of nature, exuding a unique fragrance.

The hike lasted for four hours, as if we had traveled through a fairytale world of tea leaves. From valleys filled with birdsong and flowers to mist-shrouded forests, from verdant meadows to dense ancient tea trees, every step we took was filled with surprise and awe. Eventually, we arrived at a safe, hygienic, and standardized production factory and saw how the tea we would bring to our customers was meticulously crafted.
