KNOW SOME MORE ABOUT THE TEA
Assam Tea (Camellia Sinensis)
Assam tea, renowned for its bold flavor and distinctive characteristics, hails from the lush, picturesque landscapes of the northeastern state of Assam, India. This rich, amber-hued tea is famous worldwide for its robust malty taste, which sets it apart from other varieties. Cultivated in the fertile Brahmaputra Valley, Assam tea owes its unique flavor to the region\'s favorable climate and rich, loamy soil. Assam tea is a staple in the traditional British breakfast blend due to its invigorating strength and ability to hold up well to milk and sugar. It is also a popular choice for those seeking a bold and flavorful cup of black tea without any additives. The tea\'s robust taste makes it an excellent base for various blends and is often used in chai and iced tea recipes.

What sets Assam tea apart from other teas? Assam tea is renowned for its bold, malty flavor and strong, robust taste. Unlike other teas, it has a unique strength and depth, making it a popular choice for those seeking a full-bodied cup of black tea.
How is Assam tea traditionally prepared and served? Assam tea is typically prepared by steeping the tea leaves in hot water for 3-5 minutes. It is commonly served with milk and sugar, as it complements the tea\'s bold taste and balances its astringency. However, some tea enthusiasts prefer to drink it without any additives.
Can I use Assam tea in iced tea or other beverages? Absolutely! Assam tea\'s robust flavor makes it an excellent choice for iced tea preparations, as well as for making various tea blends. It can also be used as a base for making chai, a popular spiced tea beverage in India.
How should I store Assam tea to maintain its freshness? To preserve the freshness and flavor of Assam tea, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong odors. Avoid storing it in the refrigerator, as moisture can degrade the tea leaves.
Is Assam tea suitable for pairing with food? It pairs well with breakfast items such as toast, eggs, and bacon. Additionally, its robust taste complements spicy and savory dishes, making it an excellent accompaniment to Indian cuisine.
What gives Assam tea its characteristic color? Assam tea\'s signature deep amber color comes from the oxidation process during tea production. The tea leaves undergo extensive fermentation, which imparts the dark color and enhances the flavor.
