How do you use a sharpening stone? To get your knife razor-sharp, you go through three steps: pre-sharpening, fine-sharpening, and polishing. Pre-sharpening involves using a coarse whetstone (up to 600 grit) to restore the cutting edge to the correct angle and remove any damage. Then, fine-sharpening with a finer whetstone (600-3000 grit) smooths and sharpens the edge. Finally, polishing completes the finish; using a very fine whetstone (3000+) or a strop removes any remaining imperfections, giving the knife a mirror-smooth and extremely sharp edge. This method keeps your knives in top condition for effortless cutting.

Usage 1. Place the sharpening stone in a layer of water and let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes. 2. Place the sharpening stone with the coarse grit side up. 3. Hold the knife at an angle of about 10-15 degrees and move it back and forth across the sharpening stone. Don\'t apply too much pressure. Repeat this until the desired sharpness is achieved. 4. Turn the sharpening stone over so that the fine grit size is facing up. 5. Move the knife back and forth over the sharpening stone to polish the knife nicely. 6. Clean the knife thoroughly to remove all sharpening residue. Let the knife dry thoroughly before storing to maintain its quality.
