Likely from southwestern France where this trestle-leg silhouette was especially common in farm and monastery furniture - this rustic bench is constructed in solid chestnut that been weathered to a perfect outdoor patina. Three top planks are connected with triple through-tenon construction, a signature of true hand-carpentered rural joinery. Lower stretcher connect the side legs in trestle form.
