Senshu Towels utilizes the \'sasarashi\' finishing technique, where the woven fabric is subjected to a process of starching and then undergoing a finishing treatment. This process effectively removes impurities, oils, and dirt from the cotton, resulting in a clean and pleasant-to-touch towel from the very beginning. Moreover, the \'sasarashi\' technique requires fewer production steps, reducing the amount of water and energy used. Towel production consumes a significant amount of water, resulting in a substantial amount of wastewater. However, Senshu Towels not only adhere to the required standards but also implement additional filtration measures, returning clean water back to Osaka Bay. Senshu Towels strive for a or sustainable production in respect of the natural environment, now and for the future.
