Larvikite is known by many names - Labradorite, Blue Pearl Granite, Blue Norwegian Moonstone, Marina Blue Star and more... but Larvikite is its own gemstone and is different from Labradorite that it is commonly confused with. An igneous rock only found in the Oslo-rift near Larvik, Norway, Larvikite is prized for its high polish and the silvery-blue Iridescence of its feldspar crystals. In addition to using Larvikite as a gemstone, it is popular as a facing stone in buildings - used in New York City\'s United Nations building, many big banks and many pubs in the U.K.
