This Coarse cut sharpening steel is ideal for domestic use with high abrasion detail on the steel to put a very sharp edge on a blunt knife. It is important to choose the correct cut for your blades so that you do not remove more blade than is necessary.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

A sharpening steel may become soiled and develop a grease barrier after many uses. This barrier will prevent the steel from doing its job and “biting” the knife for sharpening. To clean the steel, wash it regularly in soapy water with mild alkaline-based detergent (not any acid-based detergents) and dried immediately to avoid rust.
