Global\'s 2-Stage Ceramic Water Sharpener is a simple manual knife sharpener that we always keep handy. It follows the same basic design of the popular Minosharp series, employing 2 advanced ceramic stones (the first stage for shaping and the second stage for finishing), that are precisely shaped and positioned within the sharpener. Guides control the angle of the knife as it\'s pulled through, and a water reservoir keeps everything smoothly lubricated during sharpening. The sharpener also features a grippy rubberized bottom that holds fast in use and a comfortable hand grip. The ceramic sharpening stones will last many years of regular use, though replacements are available for separate purchase. While the 2-Stage Ceramic Water Sharpener was designed for Global Knives, we find that it also works well with other thin-ground, double-bevel blades.
