We use salvaged 12\" x 12\" (and some 15\" x 15\" too) Southern beech from the local urban environment. We use modern woodworking skills to elevate the knots and grain variation, then add a durable 2PK urethane sealer. Durable and versatile, cluster several Hyos for a coffee table. Use a pair for bedside tables. Place one in a seating arrangement to activate the space with layered, organic beauty. They are sturdy enough to use as informal seating.
