A well used 17thC English antique oak side table. 

Ex-Clive Sherwood Collection.

Formerly in the ownership of Clive Sherwood, the renowned oak collector, and then passed to his son Christopher Sherwood. Acquired by us directly from Chris.

This table is not of the same calibre as the majority of Clive\'s collection that was sold at auction and has been converted from a drop-leaf table.

With that said, the table is a very functional piece having a plank top over bobbin-and baluster turned legs, peripheral stretches and supported on turned feet.

Condition - as per the images. All the joints are sound. This table is very useable and has rustic appeal. The two elongated stretchers have been infilled where the original rebates accommodated the \"gates\" when this table started life as a drop-leaf. There is a minor historic loss to the plank top as per the last image.

If you want a good, functional period piece of furniture, with great provenance, at a very reasonable price, this must surely be the one!
