This piece is a vintage Tenjyo nagura.It was acquired from the same supplier as the San-Ai Asano Botan nagura currently listed in our shop; however, as it does not include the original box and does not bear the Asano stamp, it is unclear whether this piece predates a change in San-Ai’s labeling policy or was supplied by a different miner during the 1960s–70s.

In addition to its practical performance as a Tenjyo nagura—producing sharp cutting action and a consistent slurry—it also carries notable collectible value, reflecting its historical distribution background and labeling, making it a highly valuable piece.
