Introducing the Roumier Dining Chair from The Met x Eichholtz, inspired by the neoclassical grace of an 18th-century French armchair in The Met’s collection.

With its Palmer beige upholstery, black legs, and brass accents, this elegant piece brings a refined sophistication to any space. Infuse your home with the historical charm and timeless beauty of this iconic design, a highlight of the Met x Eichholtz Metropolitan Collection.

HISTORIC PROVENANCE

The Dining Chair Roumier is a modern homage to a French armchair from 1788, housed in The Met’s collection. The original, crafted by master chairmaker Georges Jacob (French, 1739–1814), was one of 16 commissioned for Louis XVI’s gaming room at Saint Cloud. Our interpretation celebrates the neoclassical elegance and exceptional craftsmanship that defined Jacob’s designs.
