Over 20 years ago, Marilyn Cobban started Blue Sky Clothing out of the back of a VW van in small-town Balfour BC. Her vision was to help women of all sizes and body types find beautiful styles in natural, breathable fabrics. Since then, Blue Sky has established nine locations in BC and a growing wholesale business. The company’s values are to be kind to the people who make the clothes, kind to the environment, and kind to all body types. As such this fair-trade company specializes in natural fibers, including bamboo, cotton, wool, cashmere, and modal in a range of sizes to fit and flatter most bodies.

With a hemline long enough to be forgiving but short enough to be edgy, the Florence is a take on the classic swing coat. Raglan shoulders bring further authenticity to the swing design, softening the definition at the shoulder. The body of the coat falls away in classic fashion: fluid movement, enhanced by the rich colour and drape of the natural luxe modal fabric. A paneled hood emphasizes utility, as do generous side in-seam pockets. Fully lined in gorgeous satin patterned fabric, which makes it easy to slide on and off of anything you\'re wearing.
