A fragrant tribute to the splendour of the Palais Garnier.Astier de Villatte’s Opéra Incense captures the honeyed warmth of the opera’s gilded halls — the sweep of dancers across beeswax-polished parquet, the velvet hush of the foyers, and the rooftop hives that lend their golden perfume to the air. Designed with Françoise Caron, the scent opens with intoxicating notes of beeswax absolute and honey, subtly deepened by sandalwood, cedarwood, styrax, and benjoin. The result is an opulent, glowing fragrance that feels timeless, theatrical, and softly radiant.

Each stick is crafted on the Japanese island of Awaji — home to the world’s finest incense. For over a thousand years, Master Koh-shis have perfected their four-part ritual: blending natural woods, herbs, and resins; slowly kneading the aromatic dough; cutting it into slender ribbons; and letting it dry for days in the island’s west wind. Their devotion to this ancient craft gives Opéra Incense its purity, depth, and unmistakable character.

A box contains approximately 125 sticks, each offering 30 minutes of fragrant, atmospheric burn.
