HOT ! Vanilla + Sandalwood 500ml Candle

Our Vanilla & Sandalwood candle smells of dominant aromatic woodsy Sandalwood notes supported by cedarwood nuances and finally blended with a substantive base of vanilla pods. 

Our large candles are hand-poured into our 500ml amber jars with our signature Oré mi label and a black gloss lid.

This candle burns for up to 70 hours. 

Also, to stay true to our environmental commitments we offer you the opportunity to buy our candles with our without a lid. Which gives you the option to reuse your lid from your old Oré mi candle. 

SCENT STORY

When we would visit my parents’ home in Ibadan, in Nigeria, I’d sit out in our compound and watch my mum and my aunties cook Puff Puff, a sweet doughy treat, using a huge wok-like pan over an open flame. The Puff Puff tasted so sweet. It had hints of vanilla essence in it, paired with the smokey aroma in the air from the fire. I don’t know what it is, but in Nigeria all food seems to taste fresher and sweeter. I created this scent to remind me of those moments.

OUR COMMITMENT

Each time an Oré mi product is purchased 2.5% of the profits is given to a mental health charity focused on supporting black/brown people e.g. Black Minds Matter. 

INGREDIENTS

We use soya wax, fine fragrance oils, and cotton-core wicks in our candles. All of our candles are vegan friendly and cruelty free.

HOW TO USE CANDLE

Trim that wick! Before lighting, trim your candle wick so its no longer than 6mm.

Safety first: never leave a candle burning unattended, and don\'t burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Stop burning your candle when only 7mm of wax remains.

Once the candle\'s gone, you can reuse the jar!

Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar each burn to prevent pooling. This is especially important for our Large Candles.
