HOT ! Allpa Boudoir Throw Pillow Gray

Understated, yet show stopping, our new boudoir pillow makes a beautiful addition to any home. This piece starts with raw alpaca fleece, sourced from Andean herders who are often the family members of our artisan partners. The women in our partner spinning cooperative spin the fleece into a rustic, chunky yarn which gives the final piece texture and softness. The yarn is hand dyed with native Andean molle tree peppercorns and the tara seed pod, which give the piece its beautiful multi-gray tones. Our artisan partners then weave the piece on the traditional backstrap loom. 

Traditional pallay designs on this piece include the mayu, or river, depiction, representing local rivers and also the reflection of the milky way river in the sky. The design also includes the inti, or sun god, representation.
