This cast iron Sake & Tea Server is a refined piece crafted in Takaoka, Toyama—Japan’s renowned city of metal casting—bringing together generations of skill and craftsmanship.
Traditionally used in kaiseki cuisine as a vessel for pouring sake, this iron Sake Server takes advantage of iron’s excellent heat and cold retention, making it suitable for both sake and tea. It keeps beverages warm in winter and refreshingly cool in summer, allowing you to serve sake, Japanese tea, or cold tea beautifully throughout the year.
Designed as a thoughtful hospitality piece, it adds elegance and intention to the table, enhancing both drinking and tea-serving moments.
This piece comes with two interchangeable lids:
a classic iron lid, and
an additional lacquered wooden lid decorated with delicate raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) featuring traditional Japanese motifs.Simply changing the lid creates a different atmosphere, allowing you to adapt the presentation to the occasion.
Part of the Kitasyohei Cast Iron Kanna-nabe Collection, the “moon” design offers both functionality and timeless beauty.
