HOT ! Antique Spool Cabinet: Tabletop Chest

Antique two-drawer oak spool cabinet - possibly hand crafted.  Traditionally used in general stores or homes to organize spools of thread for sewing.  It’s quite charming with its porcelain knobs and original lock plates.  The locks have a crown and letters VT along with the words Secure Patent.  One key opening  has been filled in but it still shows well and is a lovely piece.   Wonderful for display or to use for all types of storage – sewing, keepsakes, keys, jewelry, office or notions, etc.  Could also be nice to use as part of a coffee bar.

The chest is solid wood, well made and in good, sturdy condition with a heavy weight.  There are some imperfections, a small burn mark and some wear, but overall it shows nicely and is in ready to use condition. The drawers open easily and are completely removable. 

This would be a lovely authentic piece to incorporate into your home decor. It has a great patina and displays nicely - a sweet conversation piece.
