This hand-painted blue and white ceramic serving bowl originates from Thailand, where generations of artisans have perfected the art of detailed ceramic decoration. The crisp cobalt blue glaze paired with intricate hand-applied motifs reflects a long-standing tradition influenced by Chinese blue-and-white porcelain, adapted through Southeast Asian craftsmanship.
The repeating pineapple pattern is especially meaningful. In many cultures, including throughout Asia, the pineapple symbolizes hospitality, abundance, and warmth — making this vessel historically suited for gathering, sharing, and welcoming guests. Originally designed as a serving bowl with a fitted lid, it would have held special dishes for communal meals and celebrations.
Now thoughtfully repurposed, this vintage bowl has been transformed into a triple-wicked candle, filled with 13 oz of natural soy wax. When lit, the soft glow enhances the hand-painted pattern while offering a clean, even burn. Once the candle has finished its life, the vessel can be reused once again as a serving bowl, decorative container, or keepsake — continuing its story well beyond the flame.
Approximately 4.5\" tall with lid by 5\" wide
A serene blend that balances fresh coastal air with soft florals, perfectly complementing the vessel’s timeless elegance.
*Please note: This vintage ceramic vessel may show gentle wear, subtle glaze variations, or small signs of age — quiet reminders of its past life and craftsmanship.
