A new fragrance collection added to the 1616/arita japan collection of Arita porcelain. The product design was done by Teruhiro Yanagihara of the TY series. And the fragrance was directed by artist Kan Izumi.Inspired by the layers of time that have been accumulated since 1616, the fragrance is made up of elements such as pine, which was originally used as fuel for firing in Arita, the white of Arita porcelain, and the showroom of Arita, with its powerful space and the color of the reddish material spreading through it.The fragrance is woody and intense, based on the scent of pine, with the addition of vivid materials such as ritsea and cardamom. It takes about 15 minutes to completely burn. Arita-yaki, a kind of Japanese pottery, finds its roots in the ancient ceramics town of Arita, Saga prefecture. In 1616, the Korean voyagers first introduced the art of pottery to Japan. Today, Arita still produces ceramics made by local craftsmen using the distinctive ingredient of clay made from crushed kaolin, feldspar and other stones. Inspired by the skills of local Arita craftsmen, designer and creative director Teruhiro Yanagihara developed a complete new ceramics brand for Momota–Touen Corporation. Named after its origins, 1616 / Arita Japan. It\'s vessels are capable for daily usage, made with extraordinary workmanship, thinness and strength of original Arita ware.
