Matinicus Salt Farm started from a love of food, sustainability and Matinicus Island.  I wanted to craft a high quality product that expresses those passions. Our wild sea salt is 100% solar evaporated, a slow process that takes weeks to form mineral rich salt crystals that are hand harvested in small batches.

The high mineral content and crystal structure of our salt gives it a distinctive bold, bright and briny flavor and crunchy texture that lingers on your palate and enhances any dish. You can use this hand crushable salt for finishing, cooking, brining, curing, and everything between.  Free of any chemicals, dyes or ant-caking agents.

This 8oz recycled glass jar is ideal for the kitchen table or counter. It comes with a wide mouth for dipping in a hand and an easily removable cork lid. The label is made from a clear compostable wood pulp and printed with vegan inks that are also certified compostable.
