Our Casarecce is supple and a curvy shape with a fantastic texture. It’s also our thickest pasta, with the longest cooking time and chewy al dente bite.

ORIGIN OF CASARECCE

This shape is firmly rooted in Sicilian cuisine! Originally made by hand in the kitchen, this form was loosely rolled by hand lengthwise creating a slightly folded twisted pasta. Our version is bronze drawn, having a similar subtle twist.

Casarecce does share similarities with other traditional pastas throughout Italy, including fusilloni, cavatelli and strozzapreti.
