As the jet black color does not transmit light, carving the glass requires the skillful hands of the craftsman. Therefore, advanced cut technology is required to make such products.
This Kuroco Tama Checkered Tumbler is a modernized design using the traditional Edo Kiriko technique. This jet black glass is very difficult to make, as black is a color that does not allow light to pass through. The checkered pattern was inspired by the cells of a plant that can be seen when you peer through a microscope. The fluted top was designed to leave ample room for just the right amount of foam from your beverage.
Please enjoy your drink with this black glass which is a combination of traditional technique and modern technology.
