This exquisite cup expresses a wonderful collaboration of our traditional pewter craftsmanship and the Echizen lacquer technique from Fukui prefecture.
Employing a traditional technique called Byakudan-nuri, a pattern is drawn on the surface and finished with a beautiful, clear lacquer coating.
The pattern becomes more apparent through the top coating as time goes by.
