This romantic statement necklace was designed around an antique Victorian brooch with a typical C-clasp. This brooch is so beautiful, with detailed etchings on its front, I decided not to remove the clasp but instead wired it neatly shut.
Around the brooch flows a long chain of handwired AAA+ top-grade gemstones: white topaz, teal quartz, moonlight iolite, smooth-polished champagne citrine, freshwater pearls, pyrite, garnet, moonstone, moss aquamarine, smooth and microfaceted green amethyst and emeralds! From the main focal, I wired a stunning, flashy rainbow moonstone gemstone focal. All wire is 14K gold-filled, and it is closed with a 14K gold-filled toggle clasp. Lovely to hold and all the gems feel lovely against the skin!
All metal (focal, chain, wires and clasp) is gold-filled.
Measures about 19 inches (48 cm) around, with a 1.5 inch (3.8 cm) drop. Focal measures about 1 3/8 inches (3.5 cm) wide.
