This spectacular Georgian Garnet necklace is an opulent, collar-grazing bib composed of rosette clusters and an openwork centrepiece with three articulated drops. The Garnets glow a rich, wine-red and are arranged as rounds, ovals and pear-shaped drops in sumptuous halos for a dramatic, romantic presence at the neckline, totalling approximately 65.00cts.

Each stone is closed-back and securely collet-set in Silver with 9ct Gold backing, the multi-part articulation allowing the necklace to drape and move beautifully. Foliate scrolls, floral rosettes and the classic girandole silhouette epitomise refined Georgian grandeur and timeless evening elegance.

Condition:

VERY GOOD: Garnets are bright with light surface abrasions; one or two display small edge chips visible under magnification. The closed-back collet settings are secure with age-related surface wear and attractive patina. Articulation and connectors are sound, with minor evidence of historic connector work; wear commensurate with age.
