This is just about a perfect book chain - chunky, ornate, and incredibly versatile. Book chains were called as such as in the process of making the links involved folding over sheets of silver, much in the way that pages of a book would be folded. The resulting links are large and ornate, but also relatively light.
I love a book chain’s ability to change an outfit entirely. This version can be worn with or without the button motif locket, which is empty and ready for pictures or a keepsake. The piece is in excellent condition and ready for many more years of wear.
