HOT ! 1960s Lounge Chair and Ottoman attributed to Arne Norell as Ari Chair with New Cognac Leather

Listed for sale is a circa 1960s lounge chair and ottoman, in the manner of the Ari Lounge Chair designed by Arne Norell We acquired it in original condition and had a masterful upholstery shop in the NYC area completely reupholster both the belting leather straps and cushions at a considerable expense. The shop was formerly known as Forthright NYC, now PARC. Both the belting leather and upholstery hides are of exceptional quality and the stitching on the belts especially are stunning.

We were notified by the Norell company that they believe that this was not made by Norell but instead by another company back in the late 1960s or perhaps early 1970s. From our experience, this seems unusual, however, it\'s feasible that a company such as Gratz Industries in the US or another manufacturer may have been producing these for the US market. The chair measures 27 inches wide by 35 inches deep and 32 inches tall. The ottoman measures 26 wide by 20 deep and 15.5 inches tall.
