A mock-up is one of those add-ons and will ensure that your dress is fit perfectly to your body.

--------------------------------------------ALL THE DETAILSThis mock-up and fit guarantee add-on include the following:

• a bodice mock-up, made of cheap fabric with a zipper closure, mailed to you


• a virtual fitting session


• adjustments to the final pattern based on the fitting session


• a fit guarantee: should you receive your final garment and be dissatisfied with the bodice fit, this allows for a postage paid return and alterations (at no additional charge to you) within 90 days of receipt of your order

The process for a mock-up works as follows:

1. Add this listing to your cart when you order a historical garment and check out. 


2. Within 3-5 business days, I will send you a Google Form worksheet for you to fill out with your measurements. Fill out the form with your measurements within five (5) business days to be sure you will receive your order in time. You will be also be asked to send 2-3 full body photos so that I can visualize your body proportions as I adjust the pattern to custom fit you.


3. Within 4-6 weeks of receiving your measurements, a mockup made of cheap scrap fabric to your measurements will be mailed to you with instructions for fitting. It will have a zipper in it, so that you can close the bodice to see a true fit. (In most cases, the mockup will simply consist of the bodice, as skirts and sleeves for the dress styles in my shop almost never require a custom fitting.)


4. Once you receive it, please contact me for a time to set up a video conference so we can do the fitting virtually.


5. I will use the notes from the fitting to make your item fit as perfectly as possible.  The finished garment will be shipped to you 4-6 weeks after the fitting.


6. Once you receive the garment, try it on immediately to check for fit.  Should you have any fit concerns, contact me immediately to take advantage of your fit guarantee.
