This Art Deco rug was handwoven in Tientsin, China during the second quarter of the 20th century.

This sumptuous Deco rug features a detailed naturalistic design of two distinct blossoming branches on a black ground. The eye-catching design features peonies, chrysanthemums, and fruit blossoms among flowers rendered in greens, orange, pink, blue, and purple. The flowers really pop against the true black ground.

In very good condition for its age. Pile is medium height, soft and plush, with a dense and heavy handle.
