Detailed information on Forest Spotted Rocks Glass

Forest Spotted Rocks Glass

This color mix was inspired by friend of the artist and local flower farmer Diana Mae’s Zinnias. With colors ranging cream to purple with all the warm colors in between these glasses are the essence of summer flowers. Our Forest Spotted Rocks Glass rocks glass has crisp clean lines and fit nicely in the hand. They hold up to 12 ounces of your favorite beverage, and are wide enough to hold a 2.5” ice cube with ease. The color is applied liberally to the bottom of the glass and fades up to clear, the application varies slightly glass by glass as each is hand blown one at a time.Glasses are sold individually. Price is per glass.

Size: approx. 3.5” h x 3.25” w

Care: Dishwasher safe

Artisan information: Kathleen is an artist living and working in a beautiful Hudson Valley town about an hour and a half north of Manhattan. She studied and received a bachelor of fine arts degree at Alfred University and it was there that they started learning the art of glass blowing. Kathleen says she started learning because learning to work with glass is a never ending, ever evolving process. They continue to try to expand and hone their skills while incorporating a love of color and function to the work. Since being an artist is a lifestyle not just a career, they paint and draw when not in the hot shop (what glass blowers call their studio).
